I joined Eton for H2 Physics and H2 Math.
Before joining the lessons, I’ve struggled in both subjects.
For Physics, prior to joining the centre, I had difficulties applying the knowledge learnt in lessons to real life. This was the main reason why I could not answer examination questions.

For Math, even though I had strong foundation in Math, the syllabus was challenging to me, as it was a huge jump from secondary school Math.

During my time in Eton, Mr Tan opened my eyes to view questions, both Math and Physics, in different perspectives. With this prized skill, it allowed me to enjoy the H2 Math, and H2 Physics syllabus, enabling me to attain A and B in the subjects respectively.

Furthermore, Mr Tan held regular consultations at different timings. This is helpful when I had queries that had to be answered immediately.

Lastly, Eton is a centre to recommend, for its conducive environment, whilst not placing much stress on students, making lessons fun and something to look forward to.

I really enjoyed Mr Tan's lesson as it did not have a very formal tone but was more jovial. It really helped me not just understand but also enjoy the subject as a whole, which I did not before coming to tuition. He also gives amazing practices and notes that are very helpful in preparation of exams, and exposes us to all sorts of question types the school might ask during exams.

I joined Eton for H2 Mathematics in the beginning of J1.

Mr Tan helped me to break down difficult concepts and prepared many notes and practices to understand them more easily and ace in them over time.

Mr Tan always made the sessions interactive and made the lessons more fun to attend - allowing his students to feel more ease to ask any questions. He was willing to go the extra mile to help me improve my grades by letting me stay behind lessons or ask him questions on Whatsapp and he would respond quickly.

Ms Akila's JC H2 Chemistry lessons at Eton tuition centre were highly useful. I was able to grasp a better understanding of the different concepts and question types and saw an improvement in my Chemistry grades. I joined Eton tuition for H2 physics in my third year at Millennia Institute. While I was skilled in a few topics, other topics were quite abstract and hard to grasp. Going for the tuition lessons not only helped my understanding of more challenging topics but further stretched and strengthened my skills and knowledge on topics that I was proficient in.

A lot of materials from a variety of sources were provided, introducing me to different types of questions. The notes provided by Mr Tan were also very comprehensive.

Mr Tan was also very engaging and patient with the class. He gave us different and innovative ways of approaching the same question and was patient enough to explain the same concepts if anyone in the class didn’t understand. Though the subject was hard to tackle before, his continued guidance and encouragement made me more confident and proficient in the subject and in the A level examinations, leading to an eventual B.

I joined Ms. Akhila’s online H2 Chemistry tuition in August of my JC2 year, only three months before my A Levels. Prior to joining her tuition, I had received an E grade for my mid-year Common Test. However, with Ms. Akhila’s guidance, I was able to improve to a C grade for my prelims and ultimately achieved an A grade for my A Levels.

Ms. Akhila’s lessons were incredibly helpful to me. She explains concepts in a clear and detailed manner, ensuring that all students understand before moving on. I found it especially useful to be able to clarify my doubts with her and receive clear, concise responses. She has a keen ability to identify where her students’ misconceptions lie and provides in-depth explanations to address them directly.

In addition, I really appreciated her patience. At times, I would zone out during important parts of the lesson and feel embarrassed to ask a question that had already been explained. However, Ms. Akhila was always willing to repeat the explanation for me.

During each lesson, we would review 1-2 practice papers that we had completed as homework. This lesson structure was highly effective, particularly the method in which she goes through each concept and explains complicated topics in-depth.

Ms. Akhila’s lesson materials and after-class support were excellent as well. She sent all of her lesson materials to me via email before each lesson, and even kindly sent me lesson material from pre-August lessons on my weaker topics at no additional charge. After class, she was always prompt in responding to my questions on WhatsApp. She explains concepts thoroughly through a variety of methods including diagrams, textual explanation, audio explanation, and even zoom consultations. As a visual and auditory learner myself, I found these methods highly effective.

Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about Ms. Akhila. She is one of the best Chemistry teachers out there! I would highly recommend her to any JC student

I joined Eton for Physics tuition in J2. Before I joined the class, my Physics grade hovered between a B and a low A as I could come up with an answer for questions but only got partial marks most of the time.

Mr Tan's teaching style was excellent. He made sure to explain each concept in-depth while providing real-life examples and also developed our thinking process and taught us how to appraoch problems rather than just going through an answer key. He also spent time outside class clarifying our doubts and answering our questions to ensure that everyone understood all the key ideas and was not left behind. Physics was a subject I consistently could not keep up with in school before going for lessons under Mr Tan. Mr Tan’s lessons are always interesting and enjoyable. I was always looking forward to it. I joined Eton in Secondary 3 and decided to remain all the way till JC2 as I found that the lessons conducted were extremely effective.

Before I joined the centre, Physics to me was a difficult subject and my only approach to it was to memorise all the contents and to spit it back out during tests. But Mr Tan's teaching changed everything for me. He showed me that Physics was not just about memorizing formulas and concepts but about understanding them and applying them in real-life situations.

Mr Tan is an exceptional teacher who is approachable, patient, and dedicated to his students' success. He goes above and beyond to ensure that we understand each topic thoroughly, and his lessons are always engaging and enjoyable as he makes it a point to share some jokes and stories so that the lessons do not remain dry. I joined Eton in Secondary 3 for Physics and decided to continue till my A level days. I remembered being very unsure of physics concepts before I was joined. After joining, Mr Tan’s teaching method really aligned with my learning style and it helped me to quickly pick up on the various concepts taught.

Mr Tan is an extremely dedicated teacher which makes sure that lessons are always engaging for us and well-structured such that his lessons matches with the teaching speed of our school. He will put in the extra effort to give us additional lessons on topics that majority of the class is weak at to make sure that we are strong in every aspect of physics. Furthermore, Mr Tan is very resourceful and will provide us not only with papers from different JCs but also papers from overseas A levels. He is aware of the common exam questions that would be frequently tested and makes sure to cover those questions in detail such that everyone can do well in their exams. His lessons helped me to secure my As for every physics exam in JC!

All in all, Mr Tan’s passion and humour really helped me gain interest in Physics and sparked my passion for it, making me want to learn more and become better at the subject.

Before joining Mr Tan's lessons, I was struggling with my J1 topics and couldn't keep up with my classmates. But after just a few lessons, I was amazed at how much I had improved. Mr Tan's teaching style, which is conducted in small groups, allowed him to give us individual attention and enough time to understand each topic thoroughly.

I joined Eton for H2 physics as I was finding it very hard to cope with the pace that my school was teaching it to us. But going for the tuition helped me to get a better grasp of the subject it also helped me to identify my weak topics and misconceptions that i previously had. Eton was very helpful especially in this year where we were all thrown of balance by the pandemic.

Mr Tan is a really dedicated tutor who has an abundance of resources at his disposal, and often makes lessons really interesting with the stories and jokes he tells us occasionally. He often adopts many creative ways to teach us, rather than simply explaining verbally, for example through different objects to help to show the concepts to us. He also comes up with many creative ‘hacks’ to help us remember concepts much better than what our teachers in schools teach, such as the one technique in relation to energy conservation which I have used throughout secondary and junior college.

Overall, Mr Tan is one of the best and most committed tutors I have had so far. Whether online or on the spot, he responds to student’s questions very quickly, even at the most odd of timings like at 2-3am, which really shows his dedication as a tutor.

Before I joined Eton, I was struggling with physics and it was my least favourite subject. However, a couple of lessons with Mr Tan was all it took to turn things around! Mr Tan is really passionate about physics and he’s great at simplifying concepts through the use of models or analogies. I joined Eton for H2 Physics in J1 and J2 and H2 Math in J2 under Mr Tan.

For Physics, my foundation was not very strong in secondary school and for Math I had problems understanding some key concepts that is crucial in scoring prior to joining Eton. Under Mr Tan's patient guidance, I started to grasp the concepts and techniques of both subjects and was able to understand the meaning behind theories and numbers.

Lessons are very fruitful as Mr Tan takes the effort to make sure each and every student understand what he has just taught us before moving on. He also spends time with students individually to teach them certain concepts should they not understand.

Mr Tan is a hardworking and humorous teacher who constantly adapts his materials to suit the different needs of batches of students that attend his tuition, updating his notes and worksheets regularly and brainstorming new materials to fit the changing question trends. Before attending Mr Tan’s class, my physics foundation used to be very poor and when I first started tuition, I had no expectations for myself. Also, Mr Tan’s lessons are very engaging and well structured, his notes are well organised and informative, which greatly enhanced my learning process. Each lesson was very fulfilling and I am able to have many takeaways after each lesson.

Another thing about his lesson is that Mr Tan would not hesitate to clarify any doubts after each lesson until we are able to understand it, he would even go as far to create a video just to further explain and really make sure we are able to understand the concept. Through his physics lessons and detailed work solutions of his many worksheets, it helped me understand the physics concept better and how to solve questions.

Before I joined Eton, Physics to me was pretty boring since I was not doing well in school. However, through Mr Tan's unique worksheets that he specially curated and made by himself it made me train on questions that are commonly tested.

I joined Eton's H2 math tuition lessons at the start of my J2 year when I felt that my math was gradually becoming more and more unstable. Although I joined the class late, Mr Chew was dedicated to answer my queries as he focused on my weak topics right off the bat.

Not only did we get tons of practice, the questions picked out were different from my school's, allowing me to practice flexible thinking and also understand the topics better as Mr Chew went through the thought processes. 

As the A levels drew near, we even had intensive sessions, which were highly effective, because it ensured almost all topics were covered before we went for the As. With Mr Chew's help, I truly felt my math became more stable. Thank you Mr Chew!

I joined Eton Tuition at the end of 2017 for Physics Tuition when I had to repeat my JC1. Before officially joining the class, Mr Tan offered to meet me for a 1-to-1 consultation session to better understand my weakness in the subject and how he should approach helping me to improve. At that time, I was quite nervous to meet him because I scored a “U” for physics, but Mr Tan was very encouraging and even spent some time on the spot to help me understand how to solve projectile motion questions. Using his method, I eventually excelled at solving projectile motion questions.

I continued to attend physics classes with Eton until my graduation from JC in 2019, and over the two years, Mr Tan’s teaching helped to pique my interest in Physics and build my confidence in solving questions. What I enjoyed most about the classes is that beyond his genuine passion for physics, Mr Tan delivers content in a very systematic way that makes concepts easy to digest and apply. He also puts in a lot of effort to design practices and tutorials that break down ideas for us, so with sufficient practice, it enabled me to break down ideas of questions by myself as well. The framework he designed to help us answer concept questions was especially useful in topics like Circular Motion, Gravitational Fields, and Modern Physics, which were more complicated and confusing for me.

Mr Tan would also take note of my recurring mistakes and constantly tried to think of ways to help me, such as filming tutorial videos that I can go back to refer to, using objects to help me visualise, and designing his own questions for me to practice. Even though classes were conducted in small groups, Mr Tan made sure to spend ample time on each student and would not force us to practice the same questions because he understands that each of us have different weak topics. He would also encourage us to explain to each other and correct us only if we are wrong or missed out keywords, because he believes that teaching someone else is also a good way to see if you understand the concept yourself. In this way, it helped me to better identify by myself what I need to take note of.

Thanks to Mr Tan’s guidance, I grew to enjoy the learning process of physics, and my results jumped from always scoring “U”s to securing a “C” in my A Levels. Personally, picking up and understanding the fundamentals of Physics was not something very natural to me and at the beginning can be difficult to visualise. I remember the first trial lesson I had where Mr Tan drew up a simple model for me to understand the conservation of energy. While it was only a short trial lesson, the model helped me be able to tackle my final year questions regarding that topic.

After joining Eton physics, I discover that Mr Tan often thinks of simpler models to teach physics & also shares different real-world applications of physics theory, which further sparks my interest in the subject. Occasionally, Mr Tan buys physics equipment to give some hands-on learning experience.

Overall, Mr Tan's teaching has helped me build a solid foundation in physics, which led me to be able to more easily visualise physics problems in a way that I could understand and solve quickly after a certain period of practice.

When I first joined Eton at the end of J1, with a U in Mathematics and E in Physics, I had a relatively weak foundation in both of these subjects, but Mr Tan was always patient with me and ensured that I understood the concepts at the end of every lesson.

Mr Tan's teaching methodology of sorting into different question types helped me identify which question type I was dealing with in examinations, and I could better apply the strategies that were taught in class!

I went to Eton Tuition Centre in secondary school and really loved the way Mr Tan delivered his lessons with so much passion and structure. Hence, when I was struggling with mathematics in JC, reaching out to Mr Tan for mathematics tuition was a no-brainer.

Over the three months that I took physics olympiad, Mr Tan helped me with several questions, gave me the olympiad notes he prepared and even allowed me to sit in for some of the JC lessons. From this i could see how passionate Mr Tan was about enriching students.

I am truly grateful for the numerous takeaways that I received from Mr Tan. His lessons are not ephemeral but rather lasting ones and I'm looking forward to continuing physics at eton tuition centre for the next two years!

Before joining Eton tuition centre, I was struggling to even understand the simpler physics concepts. After joining Mr Tan’s class, not only did I manage to understand my concepts, I also developed a strong liking for physics. I only went for his class for a short period of time of about 8 months and was able to get a decent A2 for my physics.

Mr Tan is a really dedicated teacher. He gives us tons of practices so that we become more confident and are able to take on any questions that we face. At the same time, he ensures that we are not overloaded with tuition homework on top of our school homework.

Mr Chew is a very caring and friendly teacher which will help you at any time and anywhere even online. He may be quite strict at times and may even scold us sometimes. But it is really for our own good because he truly cares for us. 

He provides fruitful lessons and helps us to understand mathematical concepts well, building a steady foundation. He also provides sufficient materials for us to practice and eventually helped everyone in the class to get distinctions.

I was totally inept at math before joining Eton tuition. I just can't do maths, no matter what I do. 

On recommendation, I joined maths tuition at Eton under Mr Chew. Mr Chew's engaging lessons and in depth explanations helped me to solve problems more easily. He also scolded me a lot, but that is his way to motivate and bring me up to standard. Gradually, I see my grades improve. 

From consistently getting E8 in school tests, I scored an A1 for O Level Mathematics.

Before I joined Eton Tuition, I was unable to grasp some of the physics concepts.
